H.E. Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Prime Minister of Nepal, and his accompanying delegation, visited the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi on Sunday, during an official visit to the UAE.
The guest were received by H.E. Yousif Alobaidli, Director-General of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre who escorted the guests on a tour that began by visiting the sepulcher of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may Allah rest his soul in peace, where they recalled his fine traits, values, and prudent headship .
H.E. Yousif Alobaidli, continued the tour with the guest through the outer courtyard of the mosque, where they were also briefed by one of the cultural tour specialist about the courtyard of the mosque. As the guests were briefed on the beginnings of the mosques foundation, and the components of this religious and cultural edifice, and were acquainted with the diverse and architectural styles used in its construction.
At the end of the visit, the guest was presented a copy of the book "Spaces of Light," one of the publications of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre, which includes a number of shots and pictures from the "Spaces of Light” Photography Competition Award organized annually by the Centre, and highlights the aesthetics of Islamic architecture in the mosque
